Symptoms of epilepsy, commonly known as 'epilepsy', which is characterised by seizures caused by involuntary rhythmic contractions of the body, usually appear before the age of 20, especially in the first three years and during adolescence. Some tests are of great importance in the diagnosis of epilepsy, the cause of which is mostly unknown, and which can sometimes be seen as a result of birth traumas, congenital anomalies and cerebrovascular diseases. One of these tests is the method known as electroencephalography (EEG). EEG method is used not only in the diagnosis of epilepsy, but also in the diagnosis of important problems of the brain in children.
