What are the Duties and Responsibilities of the Newborn Intensive Care Nurse?

Among the duties of the neonatal intensive care nurse who can establish good relationships with babies and their relatives in the neonatal intensive care service, provide education and counselling, evaluate the baby comprehensively and interpret clinical signs and findings;

• Yeni doğan yoğun bakım ünitesinde yatan bebeklerin dış ortama uyumunu sağlamak,
• Yeni doğanda belirlediği anormal durumlar hakkında hekimi bilgilendirmek,
• Yeni doğanın enfeksiyonlara karşı korunmasını sağlayacak tedbirleri almak,
• Bebek hastalandığında bulgularını kapsamlı olarak yorumlayabilmek,
• Bebeğin beslenmesi ve emzirme tekniği konusunda ve yeni doğan davranışları hakkında anneyi bilgilendirmek,
• Yeni doğana gerektiğinde ilaç uygulamaları yapmak, yer alır.
